Why Business Gifts graphic

A moonstruck gift

When I was born I was christened Gift because like all babies I was really a gift; that is something that cost absolutely nothing but was treasured beyond price so I really was a Gift.

The my dad died and eventually mum got married again to a chap call promotional so I became known around the house as apromotional gift and as I started work I picked up a nickname which was business so I quickly became known as promotional business gift.

Corporate business gift

Whilst all this was going on my brothers and sisters were also acquiring different names because although they all started life as a Gift, just like me, when they started work and went into various trades, industries and professions they picked up various names. In truth I think some of them started swanking because they had all kinds of grandiose titles which made them feel very important.

In fact I now have a brother calledcorporate business gift, can you imagine that? Nevertheless, one of my cousins has got really uppity and is now known as a corporate executive business gift! However, before you run away with the idea that my family are all up-market these days I still have some stick-in-the-muds who are quite happy with just ordinary gift names; client gifts, company gifts, printed gifts and staff gifts…I don’t think you can get much more ordinary than those; do you?

Corporate Executive Business Gifts

The trouble with being such a large family is that one name is not sufficient to identify everybody; it’s a bit like being in Wales where almost every person you meet is called Thomas, Williams or Evans.

So when you start life as a Gift people have to be creative to locate all the other family members.

I’ve already mentioned my relations called corporate business gifts and the posh one who calls himself corporate executive business gift and the other down-market variations of client gift, company gift, printed gift and staff gift but that’s not all because there are loads more to talk about in the gift family.

Corporate executive business merchandise

For instance I have some distant relatives who have quite different names although, in reality, they mean much the same as promotional business gift. Names such as corporate merchandise, corporate executive merchandise and corporate executive business merchandise…but here’s the thing they are all gifts at heart.

Corporate Christmas gifts

The trouble with being born a Gift and then marrying into business, executive, corporate and advertising families is that it all gets really confusing when we meet. Especially at Christmas when it gets quite complicated because all the people I only see once a year turn up. But I suppose nobody wants to know business Christmas gifts, corporate Christmas gifts, executive Christmas gifts or corporate executive Christmas gifts at any other time of the year. After all, we don’t have corporate Easter gifts or Whitsuntide merchandise do we?

To be honest I get just a little bit tired of all these fancy names because I prefer the simple life of business gift or promotional business gift. I cannot handle all these fancy names because after all they are just business gifts or promotional gifts or even advertising gifts.

Business incentives

I suppose we gifts have to keep some symmetry within the family although quite often you would not recognize a gift these days. I’ve actually got an uncle called corporate presents and another one called business incentives; I really don’t know why they have to make it so hard to recognize them because it would be so much easier just to call them corporate gifts and business gifts which is what they are.

So there you are that’s my family history; amazing what some people do to a simple name like Gift isn’t it? Later on, in another article I’ll tell you about some of my really strange relatives with decidedly odd names of corporate gift basket and executive hamper…but that’s another story!
