Digital printing

Over the last ten years or so digital printing has come into its own and made the personalising of business, promotional and advertising gifts much easier than the old-fashioned laborious methods.

Most manufacturers of identity badges, name badges, conference badges, promotional coasters, advertising coasters, sales plaques, award plaques, dealer plaques, lead-crystal paperweights, flat glass paperweights and desk name plates would be lost without digital printing.

To take just a single example; a sublimated aluminium coaster today is almost a miniature work-of-art with its spectacular presentation of colours and intricate designs.

A further example is a an identity badge where each badge must have a different personal name and often a title as well...absolute child's play these days with digital printing. And you can have sequential numbering as well.

One of the prime beneficiaries from the state-of-the-art digital printing is the fashion and garment industry because latest techniques mean that a single piece of fashion merchandise can be  made for a sample or a fashion show...how's that for modern digital printing?

A more mundane everyday application of digital printing is found on short-run pamphlets, handouts and sales brochures..and these are produced without the need for films or plates...a truly remarkable advance on the old fashioned production methods; and often a darn site cheaper.

However, it must be said that to the practised eye digital printing is not just as sharp as a quality off-set print...but it is often a cheaper alternative and therefore   Digital Printing is, in many cases, the only viable option.

If you are buying business gifts it will be helpful if you know about digital printing, die stamping, embroidery, engraving, etching, off-set ltho, tampo (pad printing), screen printing, sublimation printing, transfer printing and weaving.
